Please Note: Original Piston numbers 3687605 and 3688405 have been discontinued and replaced by Piston # 3687897 (Piston Kit 2882080). This revised piston was designed to be used in an APR (Anti-Polishing Ring) Type Liner.

Basic Cummins ISX Liner, Piston and Connecting Rod information:-Open skirt pistons cannot be used with Carbon Scraper Ring (APR) Cylinder Liners-High Top Ring Pistons cannot be used with Carbon Scraper Ring (APR) Cylinder Liners-Carbon Scraper Ring Cylinder Liners must be used with Closed Window, Reduced Diameter, Low Top Ring Pistons.-All six cylinder liners must be of the same type.-Liner shims must be replaced with new shims upon installation of new liner.-Service tool 5299448 is required for Scraper Ring Liner piston installation.-All one piece pistons require drilled connecting rods and bearings drilled for proper oil travel.-Machined (Saw cut) connecting rods and fracture-split connecting rods require different bearings which are not interchangeable.
