Important Notice Camshaft Break-In Hints Mechanic Steering Wheel Hang Tag Engine Break-In ProcedureMack E7 Inframe Engine Rebuild KitThis kit was designed for customers converting from early, single piece pistons to new design, two-piece pistons. It will include the necessary piston cooling nozzles required to provide proper cooling. Contains 2-Piece, 16.5:1 CR Piston 215SB231A. This piston is used to replace early Single-Piece Pistons, as long as all 6 pistons are replaced at the same time. Please Note: Per Mack Bulletin Number SB211007, changes have been made to early design Mack E7 cylinder liners and the way all liners are to be installed in the E7 platform moving forward. Please see the photo below for a visual representation of the new instructions.  ELIMINATION OF CREVICE SEAL & O-RING 1. Some E-7 Engines have an O-ring groove below the cylinder sleeve seat, and some do not. It has been determined that this O-ring is not required as long as silastic is used at the sleeve shoulder. 2. Clean liner & block to assure removal of all contamination & oil. 3. Apply a .120" to .160" inch bead of RTV Silicone (PAI BSR-0385, Dow Corning #RTV732, or General Electric #RTV103 Silastic Sealant) to the cylinder block sleeve shoulder 360?????. DO NOT use excessive amount. Sealant must be applied just prior to installation of the sleeves to prevent partial curing and questionable sealing and bonding. 4. From the beginning of E7 PLN and E-Tech engine production, a crevice seal, similar to an o-ring, was installed in the groove located in the outside diameter of the cylinder sleeve, near the sleeve top. It has been determined, however, that the crevice seal is not necessary. Therefore, effective approximately December 1998(engine serial number series 8Y), the crevice seal is no longer used in production engines. Additionally, effective January 1999 (engine serial numbers series 9A), the crevice seal groove in the cylinder sleeve has been eliminated.  Effective with these production changes, the cylinder sleeve provided with our engine rebuild kits will not have the crevice seal groove, and it is recommended that use of the crevice seal be discontinued in all engine repairs or rebuilds, whether or not the liner has a crevice seal groove. Inframe Kit Includes (6) Cylinder Kits (Piston with pin & locks, Piston Rings, New Style Cylinder Liner, RTV Silicone Sealant) - OE # 215SB219E (6) Rod Bearings - OE # 62GB2396A (1) Main Bearing Set - OE # 57GC387 (1) Upper Gasket Set - OE # 57GC2118A (2) Head Gaskets - OE # 553GB473 (6) Fire Rings - OE # 553GB224  (1) Lower Gasket Set - OE # 57GC2119 (Does not include crankshaft seals) (6) Piston Cooling Nozzles - OE # 115GC316
